The Pudmuddles by Carol Beach York (HarperCollins) was a funny chapter book about a man who did things a little bit backward and his wife who did not.

The Quest For Queenie by Brian Ball (Little, Brown) - kids, dog, dragon, wizard and a magical sword!

There were 2 Rhymin' Simon mystery books by Bill Apablasa (Dutton) and it was a great opportunity for me to draw lots of kids!

My very first book was The Ghosts of Hungryhouse Lane by Sam McBratney (Henry Holt).
